Miriam Dema

Miriam Dema is a barcelona based painter, who's work pays tribute to the beauty of imperfection and the generosity of life in moments of splendour. she aims to represent the impact of human presence in everyday elements, creating settings that evoke warmth and relaxation with elements of the mediterranean culture. her paintings are created intuitively and based on memory, applying partially uncovered layers of vibrant colours. thus, the construction of each piece is very similar to he way of remembering, by layers, free and idealised. the result are energetic works, rich in texture, synthetic shapes and dynamic perspectives, in which the viewer can glimpse part of the process in the final painting.   Miriam graduated from university of barcelona with a degree in fine art and has shown work in Galería Santa & Cole, and Nogueres-Blanchard gallery in barcelona
